PRECISE is a pan-Canadian diagnostic Network that has been established as a critical strategy to better prepare Canada against emerging infectious diseases.

I started on the precise website in 2025, working alongside the program manager, the goal was a site that could explain the networks goals, funding and associated persons. In addition it was decided that further pages, including news, associated publications, and means of contacting staff were included. The project is currently ongoing as of April of 2025.

At the heart of Precise are the four domains, clinical, pathogen and host detection, cross-cutting diagnostics, and engagement. The domains overall goal is to better prepare Canada to, detect and identify pathogens, develop diagnostic tests and assays, while working with policymakers, scientists, industry, and local communities. Precise was established following covid-19 which displayed critical gaps in the Canadian pandemic preparedness strategy.
